Puerto de Mazarrón is a working port and holiday town located on south-eastern Spanish coast known as Costa Calida - The warm coast - in the region of Murcia. The nearest major town is the historic city of Cartagena, the port where the Armarda departed from to invade England.

| The
Port has a number of attractions: there are 4 main beaches close by the
town and a large number of bays around the local coast line. Sunsets are
particularly beautiful from La Ahozia and Isla Plana, villages just
round the coast. There is a long promenade around the main Town beach
with restaurants all along it - this is where you can watch the people
promenading on a summer evening. There is also two marina's - one by the main Town Beach - this is the working port where the fishing boats land. The other one caters for mainly pleasure craft. Here are some shots of Puerto de Mazarrón |

| There are many
good restaurants in the Town, even a couple of Indian's and loads of
Chinese along with those serving Spanish cuisine. There are a number of
Supermarkets and various other shops, some quite posh, others catering
for visitors, great fun to wander round. For bargain hunters there is a
open Market every Sunday just by the Bus Station. |

| The main town
of Mazarrón, of which the Port is a part, is 5 minutes drive
inland. Cartagena is 40 minutes away and the City of Murcia, the
